Based in Bluffdale, Utah, Cozy Earth offers organic bedding products that include bamboo sheets, comforters, silk comforters, duvet covers and blankets.
Founder and CEO, Tyler Howells, discovered he and his wife slept most comfortably at night at different temperatures. The problem was that most bedding didn’t address this problem, and the silk comforters that did were a low-quality solution. He went out in search of the perfect materials to construct the perfect comforter.
The result was a high-end textile that regulates body temperature, is hypoallergenic, and feels luxurious. Not to mention one of Oprah’s favorite things 4 years in a row. Since the company launched in 2011, sustainability and traceability have remained key components of Cozy Earth’s strategy.
When Aries looked at Cozy Earth as a business, they knew Tyler was a naturally talented founder. They were very impressed with his business acumen at a young age. To have a company as small as it was to get selected to Oprah’s favorite things four times is remarkable. Aries knew their products were fantastic and they had a great growth rate, they just needed the right partner to help them grow.
